Honoring the accomplishments of CISD students and staff
 
Campuses, Nutrition Staff recognized
The teachers, administrators and staff  and Child Nutrition workers at Brown Elementary and Aguirre Junior High were recognized for their actions during recent power outages at their campuses. They were honored for ensuring the safety and well-being of the students. In addition, Brown Elementary had to evacuate to the Bill Neal Center following a gas leak. They were commended for ensuring the students were transported in a safe and orderly fashion and had activities to keep them occupied while off campus. The Cafeteria Managers at both schools and the Nutrition Services department were honored for providing meals to the students in a timely manner during the power outages and while Brown students were at the Bill Neal Center.

CHS alumnus earns spot on TASB Media Honor Roll

Channelview High School alumnus Thomas Reynolds and his electronic publication FalconView Sports were presented the 2016 Texas Association of School Board’s Media Roll Award by the Channelview ISD Board of Trustees. Reynolds, a 2007 CHS graduate, was among 200 media representatives statewide that were honored for their professionalism in reporting positive news about Texas public schools.
