A Bit More About Me

I have been an employee at Alice Johnson Junior High for the past 13 years. I currently serve as the At-Risk Facilitator here on campus.  As the At-Risk Facilitator, my job is to monitor and track student (attendance and academics) to ensure that they all on the path to academic success at the secondary level.  I am here to encourage and motivate those who get off-track, so that they too can achieve success.  Prior to becoming the At-Risk Facilitator, I served as one of the  School Counselor for four years.  I also worked as a 7th grade Science teacher (also at AJJH).

I attended Texas Southern University and obtained my Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After working for the Department of Human Service for 4 1/2 years, I entered into the education field.  Eventually, I returned to school, attending Prairie View A&M University obtaining my Masters in Counseling and Educational Administration . I have been married for the past 19 years and am the mother of four (two boys & two girls).  I love education, students, and believe that all students can have the same opportunities to achieve success in whatever they desire to accomplish to become all they can be. I always want to best for our students, so if there is anything that I may be able to assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact me.

My motto: All children are capable of learning if they have someone who is willing to invest and believe in them that will cause them to believe in themselves.
