Hello, I am Mrs. Amaya-Curiel, I was born and raised in Houston, TX. I am a wife and mother to two beautiful kids. I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology & minor in Human Resource Management. I've worked with elementary and middle school aged children as a prevention specialist and case manager. In 2016 I obtained my teaching certification and joined the Channelview ISD family where I taught 3rd grade Dual Language ELA for 4 years. I then transitioned to the dyslexia interventionist position, which I have been in for the last 3 years. I look forward to working with all of the students, parents and staff this year!
