Mr. Elier Fernandez

Welcome to my page! I am excited for year 4 and look forward to working with your children this year!

About Me:

Prior to taking on the Professional School Counselor role, I taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade for a total of 11 years. I love working with scholars and believe that with the support of all stakeholders, they can achieve success both in and out of the classroom!

I embrace a holistic approach to counseling and value the opportunity to provide guidance lessons to each and every scholar. Although I have many roles here at McMullan, scholars are my main priority. My goal is to help our scholars develop the necessary skills to become productive, successful, and well-rounded members of society. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns.

Read Alouds & Discussions

As a school counselor, I cover monthly topics affecting students via whole group instruction.  However, there is not enough time in the school year to go over all the topics that could potentially assist our students in becoming better versions of themselves.  That is where my counselor YouTube channel comes in.  Students can view videos of myself performing read alouds and discussing the readings.  This will serve as yet one more way of reaching, instructing, and impacting our students.  The following are but just some of the topics that I will be covering:

  • Lying

  • Teasing

  • Disobeying

  • Throwing Tantrums

  • Responsibility

  • etc..

I will do my best to post as much content as possible in hopes of helping out as much as I can.  Caretakers/students, feel free to reach out to me if there is anything in particular that you all would like for me to cover.
