About Me

Welcome to 4th Grade! My name is Mrs. D. Ibarra and I'm beyond excited to be your child's teacher this school year. I have been blessed to be a part of the McMullan family for the past five years.

I was born in McAllen, Texas, a small town in the Rio Grande Valley near the Mexico/United States border. I was brought up in a Hispanic home where hard work and perseverance were at the forefront of our family values. I've been happily married for twenty years and have three amazing children. I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown and received my Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2017. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends. I love shopping and drinking coffee at any given time of the day.

I’m extremely passionate about teaching and making sure that I not only establish a great relationship with my students but with my parents as well, after all, we are one team. Please feel free to reach out to me should you have any questions, comments, or concerns. I am available during my conference period if you wish to speak to me in person. (Conference: 1:30-2:20 pm)

Hard work and perseverance is something I strongly believe in and like to instill in each of my students. Giving up is never an option in our classroom. Let's make this 2024-2025 school year a success!
