On Sunday, January 21st, twenty-one Channelview High School students competed in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo School Art competition. Five students received awards for the Channelview ISD District Show. Senior, Alyah Betancurth, placed Best of Show. Seniors Nguyen Ngoc Nga My and Hailey Ayala received Gold Medal awards. Senior, Melanie Solano and Junior, Tatiana Plata received Special Merit awards, respectfully. These artworks will be hung in the prestigious Hayloft Gallery during this year's Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
