Congratulations to Senior visual artist Alyah Betancurth on receiving admission to the Glassell School of Art Summer Class program. This scholarship is awarded through the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo School Art Program. Alyah's artwork was awarded District Best of Show this year, which earned her the opportunity to apply for the Glassell School scholarship. She will attend the weeklong program this summer and have the opportunity to learn from and gain working studio artist experience from the Glassell professors, as well as create new artworks.
Alyah's artwork, as well as the other Channelview ISD students who placed at rodeo, can be viewed in the Hayloft Gallery at the NRG Center all 2024 HLSR season.
